There's a popular video game streamer called GunnerManiac that held the world record for the fastest time completing a Pokemon game. He beat the whole game in less than 2 hours.

Yes, it's a law school term. It has nothing to do with the military. It's someone who is/knows all of the answers/raises hand for everything.
Ha ha. In law school, it could also be someone who was obviously studying a lot and making clear to peers that they had their sights set on top journal, top firms, awards, etc. Not necessarily a class hand-raiser. We also used the term “podium-pusher” to refer to classmates who were always rushing up to talk to the profs at breaks and after class.

I was a gunner. DH was a gunner. I was hyper focused on the future, worked extremely hard and was very ambitious.
We have three kids who are not gunners. They are well rounded and smart but definitely not gunners.
