I don’t smoke but I still drink and sometimes party like drinking at least once a month with spouse or friends. I stay out late too. I also eat crappy diet. I sometimes don’t even wash my face at night. Genetics.

No one has mentioned sex?! Look it up, frequent sex helps with hormone releases that keep you more youthful

1. Sunscreen every day even though I spend less than two cumulative hours in the sun or even near sunny windows
2. No smoking
3. No drinking
4. Vegetarian diet
5. Yoga and plates 3-4x/week
6. Sleep at least 6.5 hours every night
7. Moisturizer, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and retinol every other day
8. Stress relief

Truth! The title of this thread should read over 55, not 45. It is a striking difference in ten years.

At 46, I look good, but I would not fool myself into believing that I don't look my age. I keep a healthy weight (130-135, 5'6), eat decently, sleep 8-9 hours per night, and wear expensive clothes.

I steam my face twice a week, do mask treatments twice a week, serum and retinol every night, and moisturizer in the morning and at night before bed. Eyelash serum twice a week at night. Dip nails every two weeks, pedicures once a month. Color my hair every two months.

I do all of this as self-care and not to look younger The most it has shaved off my age is three months, lol.

Be Asian.
Period.
Because everyone on here knows….Asians just do not age.

Be Black.
Because we all also know that Black don’t crack.
Lol.

It is imperative to wear sunscreen every day that you go outdoors.
Even cloudy days ~ the UV rays are still there.
I even put sunscreen on my hands when I drive.

That’s late to not be in menopause.

Uh oh….
Yikes! 😳

I am 55 as well & am still getting periods.
They are a little wonky - but I still have them.

Am I in the minority here??!

Anyway genetically I am 100% Asian plus I had horribly oily skin as a teenager.
I remember my peers were brutal w/all the teasing about how greasy my skin looked.

However at my age > it is now a blessing since my skin is now moist + unlined.

I also have never touched a cigarette.
Though I did sunbathe in my 20’s, I also used to drink more in that decade.

a lot of this is genes. my grandfather, an alcoholic and smoker, lived into his 90’s, rode his bike up to 100 mi rides in his late 70s, never had a grey hair. My mom, in late 70s, also has zero gray hair, and looks way younger. I take care of myself and live a healthier lifestyle. I drink in moderation, do minimal botox, sunscreen & eat healthy.
