No. Long John Silver is not the same thing as Red Lobster. Long John Silver was the fast food seafood place. All their buildings resembled a ship. As a kid, I loved going to LJS and walking up the plank to get to the building.

Plus the "crunchies". Kid meals came in a paper ship. Awesome place.

Red Lobster was the fancy seafood place.

So funny that red lobster is boomers’ idea of seafood. Y’all were raised with a wartime mentality. DC has tons of great seafood boil or restaurants that serve fresh fish from the Chesapeake (or sushi with fish shipped straight from Japan!)
