There is supposed to be a big storm water management “facility” built where the pawn shop is now located. It might divert enough water from Spout Run the the shopping center across the street can be redeveloped.

The owner of the stip mall won’t let it sit long.

It could use a facelift like Chesterbrook.

The apartments are location location location.
I don’t believe it’s true that people are moving away from Clarendon. The rents and housing prices are still very high.

Agree with all of this. People aren't moving away from Clarendon- they keep building high-rises all along the R-B Corridor and people are moving in. In fact there is a proposal to build a luxury high-rise apartment building right across the street from this location.

I have no idea of the timeframe but something will go in this space. Eventually this parcel will be redeveloped but it's doubtful it would happen anytime soon with all the stormwater management issues at that site.

There’s a TJ half a mile away in Clarendon.

Exactly. Or a vape shop or 7-11. That seems to be what we get in Arlington.

I thought I heard Wegmans was considering it—now that would be amazing. But if not that, another decent grocery store would be great. I just hope it’s not a pointless bank.

A doggy daycare/boarding place would do really well there.

Going to really boost foot traffic for a week or two.

Maybe a laser tag place will pop up too.

A laser tag place would be amazing! That would save me so many trips to Alexandria and Fairfax for birthday parties. Someone needs to make that happen.
