While it's obviously not true that EVERYONE has herpes, it's true that many, many people have antibodies. For most people who are HSV positive, they either never have outbreaks, they have them rarely, or they take antivirals and rarely/never have outbreaks.

Recently I dated a physician, and then a NP. Neither one was as worried about herpes as the lay people on DCUM.


Very few men who have outbreaks would take anti-virals. They have side effects. It’s only 14% of women abc 8% men with general herpes out there. I don’t want to catch it and be on anti-virals for a dating sake. F..k it they can date others with herpes if there are so many available out there

I can tell you from experience that women are just as likely to do this. My now ex gf was banging her old bf at the same time with no protection. Appearances can be deceiving. She was someone who had the appearance of being religious and upstanding member of their community. But definitely liked to sleep around


+100 ex was banging a married woman unprotected…who was on all kinds of dating sites and banging other dudes too.
