The only reason college men join frats is for a drinking and access to women. The only reason college women attend fraternity parties is for drinking and partying.
Let adults enter bars/clubs like the adults that they are, and enjoy their youth without signing up for hazing and date rape. Not to forget binge drinking.
I actually actree with you that 18 should be the drinking age. But, I don’t think it’s the solution you imagine it to be. I’m only enough to remember when the drinking age was 18, and frats were still all about booze and babes. See also, the movie Animal House.

Anonymous wrote:What I have heard is that there were a couple of questionable hazing incidents, they Greek leaders were all gathered together and were told to knock it off or else, and then there was one that really crossed the line. I head it involved laxatives and locking pledges in a room with one toilet. Danger to health. On investigating reports of THAT incident they heard of other incidents involving different frats and so they just said allright everyone out of the pool until we fully investigate.

I didn’t think it was elitism or unhealthy when my chapter had us visit a local poor school to read to the second graders on a rotating basis, but I appreciate your sexism and judgement.
You must be watching too much Netflix.
The fees alone are "elitism"
You are an idiot.
Buying friends is as well.
Big whoop you went to do some volunteer work where you didn't even get your hands dirty.
You are very closed minded and don’t come across very well with your over the top anger.
So you don’t pay any activities or clubs? The fees go to pay for social events, house dinners, house upkeep, sisterhood events etc. To keep saying “paying for friends” just makes you sound clueless. Also they offer scholarships if it’s out of financial reach.

Sorority and fraternity life can be what you make it. At any school.

I spent time on rugby Road in the early 90s. I’m sure there were some stories. But I don’t have any like that to tell.
Well, the one story is how one of my sorority sisters met her also-Greek boyfriend at our Bidnight mixer. I think they just celebrated their 20 something wedding anniversary.
