Don't believe me if you don't want to. I don't really care.

I wanted to let people know that this is happening in our area and that you might not want to let your kids take Uber alone. When I googled about this apparently sexual assault by Uber drivers, even towards teens, is not uncommon.
We were about to start letting our teen travel on Uber Teen. Not now.
I just wanted to let people know so that you are aware of the risks before you make a decision about letting your children ride on Uber Teen.
I will not be checking back on this thread as this is simply too painful to think about or talk about.
People who make posts like this are chickens. Don't post if you don't want responses! right? Why post in the first place then? Did that somehow make you feel -- uh -- what?? It's bizarre.
Parents do not put their children unaccompanied in ubers. I never did and never will

F you. I wrote it as a PSA. A lot of people have more info now. It's painful because I spent a lot of time taking care of this child and in many ways, it feels like he's my kid.
You? Why did you write this. Just to be a dick.

over town since they were 15.
Statistically, they are FAR, FAR more likely to be sexually assaulted by a coach, teacher, other parent or peer then they are by an Uber driver.
Like is 100 fold more likely that my kid will be raped in a school locker room than in the back of an Uber.
We can't bubble wrap our kids.
Kids who don’t take Uber alone are not bubble wrapped. They have to have teachers and peers. They don’t have to ride with strangers. Keep reaching.

Too bad you aren't God Emperor of DCUM. You can't prevent posts.

Not sure that helps. Even if you hang up and call the police they won’t get there in time. And obviously it is not a deterrent for the perpetrator to know they will be caught after the fact because the same is true of a driver (traceable on the app) doing this in the first place.
