I didn’t like the speech at all. Overly promotional. And the call to action to check social media saying, “I’m going in the back and will post the album cover on Instagram” takes attention away from show performers.
Plus, we know she is not the one posting on social media. So don’t lie.
I like Taylor’s music. But the speech was bad. No one will tell her the truth though.
I thought is was classless because Miley had just been onstage excited to win her first Grammy and the first thing TS said was that it was her 13th.

That performance was like what I imagine hell would be like.

It wasn't conventional, but classless? She thanked her fans and then used her time to give something to her fans.
There's a certain group of Taylor haters who will call anything she does classless.
Plus the Grammy's social media was teasing a big announcement from her tonight. It's not like she stole their thunder.
Hater is a strong word. I don’t care enough about her to hate her. I just think she’s very low class. For example, she stoid up in front of Meryl Streep and blocked Streep’s view of the performance when Tracy Chapman was singing. That is low class. If someone is performing, you don’t block other people’s view of the performance. It’s like Taylor cannot manage to let someone else have the spotlight for a second. (Incidentally, she’s a terrible dancer, so stiff and remarkably short on rhythm. She looks like a frat boy.) Also, announcing a new album while getting an award is very, very tasteless.
There’s a certain type of rabid Taylor fan who cannot take off her rose colored glasses when it comes to the poor behavior of her idol.
This literally happens all the time at concerts.
This wasn’t a concert. This was an awards banquet. And just because there are lots of trashy, classless people who stand up and block other people’s views at concerts, doesn’t make it any less trashy when Taylor did it to Meryl. AT A BLACK TIE event.
