yessss! I agree.


I am most impressed by the people who see a problem and work hard to solve it and then share that work with as many people as possible as freely as possible.

I see that most right now in the Science of Reading efforts and also within some health-related topics.

Those researchers/ teachers/ doctors make a real difference to so many people.

cancer research without animal testing. To do your research without speciesism is prestigious, otherwise NOT.


If you aren't doing animal research then you do basic research. Animal research = testing cures.

My husband is a diplomat and I'm a cancer researcher. It's not impressive or prestigious when you get sh&t on by other people!
