But we care waaaaay less than men do. Attraction is only partially based on appearance. We a rule, its always better to be funny than muscular.
My husband of 16 years has always been ripped. I appreciated his abs when we were dating, for sure, but his eyes, his smile, his sense of humor, and his confidence were what actually attracted me to him.
You know actually his biceps, and the way t shirts are tight around them and then loser around the stomach, are very hot. But for me humor is a must and biceps are not.

I have dated hotter guys but I'm dating him because he's nice to me, he's easygoing, he's really smart, he has the engineer thing where his love language is problem solving and fixing things, and he lets me be me. He's quieter than I am, but I'm an extrovert who likes chatting with random people, and he never gets jealous. Some guys have. He's just easy to be with. So he doesn't need to be hot or rich.

(If you want professional women, dress like a professional man while you're out socializing. Don't dress like a wanna-be rapper if you want to get with a DC lawyer.)
I'm dating a man I met at a friend's party who didn't hit on me explicitly but managed to spend enough time around me over the evening that I felt comfortable giving him my number by the time we left. He is about 5'7" and has a working class job that pays decently but not nearly what I earn. But he was dressed appropriately, he was well groomed, he has really toned and thick arms and a thick chest (not crazy big, it's just clear he goes to the gym), and he was friendly and easy to chat with. I later learned that he attracts women like crazy. I've seen it happen at shops and other places when I wander away from him and women think he's there alone. He walks around with a twinkle in his eye and smiles at people, which seems to charm women, and that's probably what got me talking to him at the party when we met. He also is very confident and proud about how good he is at his work even though it's not a big money-making career (he's done construction for over 2 decades) and I think this self-love comes across as attractive.

This. Arrogance is gross; true confidence (quiet self-assuredness) is one of the most attractive features in both genders IMO.

A handful of muscle can go a long way.
Anyone can build muscle with effort.
I don’t think women care about muscles else I wouldn’t be single. Sadly I kind fit into the meathead stereotype but working on it lol
It depends. I was married to a cutie with no muscles. He is incredibly charismatic and smart. Now I want the muscular type. It’s really nice! Once you’ve tried it…
The thing I like about DHs muscles is going to the beach and watch other woman blatantly check him out. Turns me on so much. Those nights are the best.
