They’ve driven away their families with their obsessions and hatred.

By the time we got into Tulsa Town
We had eighty-five trucks in all
But they's a roadblock up on the cloverleaf
And them bears was wall-to-wall
Yeah, them smokies is thick as bugs on a bumper
They even had a bear in the air
I says, "Callin' all trucks, this here's the Duck"
"We about to go a-huntin' bear"

As are most Americans, if you look at the polls right now. His approval ratings have tanked and immigration is the number one issue. So no, I’m concerned about what is actually happening not something that might, or might not, happen.
At this point there are so many here, we are going to need to go to a real id verification system with stiff fines, revamp worker programs so that people are background vetted, no family accompanied, and need to re-up every year (we do need workers - but we should know who they are), get rid of automatic citizenship for children born to non citizens, and do all the border stuff as well. Much to do. I pick Nikki! I like what I heard of her/immigration on CSPAN last night. Donating money to her campaign now.

Pretty sure Mexico and the US are not prepared to deal with the cartels who are profiting from the open border and human trafficking. These truck drivers don’t understand who they will really be dealing with.
The people who know how to deal with it are being prevented from doing their jobs by the Governor of Texas.
The root cause is that it hasn’t been dealt with for decades by either party, which is why the truck drivers feel obligated/ emboldened to act. At best the feds made clumsy attempts to control the border and dealing with unvetted new arrivals. We are being upstaged by CANADA(!) 🇨🇦 in controlling national borders — and they have more remote areas and a smaller population.
I should add that Canada is seeing a surge as well but on a smaller scale. It made changes regarding illegal immigration from the US to Canada last year and turning people around at border checkpoints. It struggles too with how to deal with undocumented persons and overstays.

I'm talking about specifically the fact that there are people on social media posting that they are driving to Texas to shoot "illegals." This is not normal behavior of any sane human being. It could all be a big nothingburger but it only takes one unhinged person to cause serious problems.
This has the potential of being a Jan 6/Waco or just Santa and his convoy buddies pooping in buckets. Time will tell.
What problems exactly?
For ordinary people like me, I mean.
OP here. Problems when rednecks start shooting migrants. All it takes is one trigger happy guy, hyped up on right with propaganda. When this happens, who steps in? Border control? TX National guard? US army?

Hold up. What is your source? Abbott? Fox. Homeland Security says there were 269k "encounters" at the border in December 2023. An encounter is not the same as releasing them into the country. 2023 was the worst year for migrants coming into the country but your lying makes me dismiss what you have to say. What else are you lying about? The Republicans in Congress need to pass the Immigration Bill so the border can be closed. https://homeland.house.gov/2023/10/26/factsheet-final-fy23-numbers-show-worst-year-at-americas-borders-ever/
