Another thing I haven’t seen anyone mention as a possibility is early onset dementia. My MIL had that and had a huge shift in her personality on the beginning stages before we knew what was going on. She went from being very sweet, friendly, fun to being aggressive, moody, saying mean things.

I don’t think he’s sick, but he’s had some dark sht in his past and lacks coping skills. Yikes.
