I appreciated the way it ended. And I don’t think it ends badly for Rory. Yes, she’ll be a single mom like Lorelai was, but she’s in a much better position for it and has even more support than Lorelai did. She had Yale and her writing career away from Stars Hollow. I think she had to do those things, to try them, but didn’t end up choosing to continue down that path. In the end, she grew up. She lets Logan go and says goodbye to that life and chooses to be a writer and have a nice life in Stars Hollow. I imagine she’s very happy. I would love to see a Gilmore Girls 2 centered on Lorelai, Rory and Rory’s child (who has to be a girl).
What you're saying would make for a lovely show. I think the problem is that we didn't see Rory growing or changing to get there. It's very abrupt. The whole reboot was just so random. It felt like it needed a lot more rounds of edits.

She’s actually the worst to Suki.
Like the epitome of a selfish, completely narcissistic friend.
And honestly she is really really terrible to her own parents. There are a few episodes where you kind of get the idea that she felt smothered as a kid, but what did they reaallllly do that was so horrible ti her other than be disappointed that she got pregnant at 16? In the flashbacks it’s clear they didn’t kick her out! Sure they tried to persuade her to marry Christopher and have him get a job at the insurance firm—and Christopher was willing….but when she said no, the parents didn’t kick her out. She just up and left one day and moved out.
And it’s really unclear why she wanted Rory to go to Chilton then Harvard when it’s the exact life she rejected.
Also kind of loved the way Richard scolded her after he pulled the sneaky Yale visit interview trap with Rory. He was right that Lorelai had no clue how legacy worked (maybe less so in 2024, but definitely worked that way in 2004)….so she was being an idiot not to want to give Rory every advantage to get into an Ivy.
Yeah yeah yeah it’s just a show. But Lorelai suddenly rubs me the wrong way.
Still love PARIS though!!!

As a Rory hater, I loved Logan as a character. He was perfect for Rory.

Lane marries her loser husband and gets pregnant the first time she has sex. And it was bad sex at that!
Her whole storyline went off track when Adam Brody got cast on the OC and she lost Dave. They failed her miserably after that.
YES. They should have re-cast Adam Brody and had Lane end up with him.

Also, that she'd cheat with Dean? That 10th grade Rory would evolve into someone who got pregnant and didn't know who the father was? No.
Genuine question: Why do you think she doesn’t know who the father is? It’s incredibly clear that the father is Logan, they basically did everything but put “Logan is the father” in writing on the screen. Why would you assume she isn’t aware it’s him?
The Wookie.

I think Christopher is taking first place for the worst and April's mother (played by Sherilyn Fenn) is a close second.
God, these people.
