My cousin and I would go on for 10 years without calling or texting each other. Then we got together, and we got along and chat easily like we just saw each other yesterday. I never met any friend like that.

I've always assumed those people have way more functional families than the one I grew up with. We could barely be in the same room together, and that's still true.
