And her team is blaming telework for the high cost of District government by blaming telework for why older workers are not retiring. They might not be retiring as quickly because with inflation their retirement accounts and potential social security payments aren't enough to live on.

This is true. Bowser took for granted that there would always be interest in downtown, big and small tenants pushing past each other to be there. It's like she never saw downtown pre tony williams when NO ONE wanted to be there. She fell for the vibrant GGW garbage. How shortsighted.

The huge rents, smashed storefronts and theft can't be that enticing to a business owner. This sucks. As a DC resident I want businesses I can walk to, I feel for them and also understand completely if they up and move. I want to!

Bowser needs MPD to step up.

The activists don’t want them to stop suspects.
The Council made pursuits all but illegal.
Racine and Schwalb have gutted juvenile justice.
The USAO won’t prosecute the most serious cases.
The Superior Court and Court of Appeals benches are stacked with former PDS attorneys.
And after Allen and the Council stopped hiring, there are 500 fewer officers now than there were going into 2020.

The violence interrupters are going to have to step up.
