Watch or rewatch? It is so good, even more so on a rewatch.
PP here, i meant watch for the first time. I have kind of been avoiding it because i think it will be too emotionally taxing. Is it a difficult watch?
Yes, it’s gut wrenching. And yet the narrative is so skillful that you’re immersed in the story the way the people living the story are. It’ll stay with you though.
I consider it one of the best tv series of all time. But I’ve never rewatched it.
Agree that it's not easy viewing. And some episodes are slow. But it's like an academic-level analysis of why American cities are what they are with excellent characters.
If you go to the Wikipedia article there is this note and ten sources are listed: Sources that refer to The Wire's being praised as one of the greatest television shows of all time include...

PP who is rewatching now. I actually don’t find it as hard to watch seasons 1-3 as the first time (ok, I skipped rewatching season 2), when I didn’t know what happened to characters. But, I am sort of dreading rewatching season 4. That season is really hard.
Regardless, so so worth watching.
PP here and i am starting it tonight 🤝
Enjoy! And don’t give up the first episode or two. It takes a second to get into.

Breaking Bad
Friday Night Lights
So this is weird....but this is exactly my list. There are the only three shows I have watched beginning-to-end twice.

Which Battlestar Galactica is this? There seem to be a couple.
The 2004 series starring Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell. So say we all.
