OP again and yes, I do think we have an old, old iPad stored somewhere. I think it's connected to my current phone/email, however, and I don't know how to change it back
Do a factory reset

I really hate apple for designing their phones to leave out android users. That should be against the law as we all know it’s to claim a monopoly.
Correct. This is the point for apple. And the reason I won't get one.
So your beliefs are more important than your kids social life. Got it.
Yes I have beliefs and values and don't give in for every tech gadget or need to have item. Like my niece who got AF 1s and was shuffling around because she can't "crease" then. Jfc.
I have an android and communicate just fine with apple users. I'm not paying hundreds of dollars for a phone. I'm not contracting with Verizon or any other company that uses Apple to get users, we use a cheaper plan. When my child is adult they can buy their own phone and plan. In the meantime, we use value phones and a budget cell phone service because they work and why pay more?
The fact that you are so aggressive and antagonistic over a literal cell phone brand is bizarre.
She isn’t. You are. You’re unbelievably nasty because you’re a fragile and simple-minded snob. Signed - Apple user
Name calling is so tacky. Do better in 2024!
Do better with your self-awareness, you complete…
You should examine why you are fighting with people on the internet over your preferred cell phone brand.
That’s…what you’re doing. Not me. Not really OP, even. Poor little thing.
Keep reaching and trying to get the last word.
You attacked PP and claimed she was antagonistic when she wasn’t- it’s wild. I have an iPhone too, and a mom opting out and making other choices sounds like she’s making decisions that are good for her. You got witchy, but then you’re evidently tacky, so. Thanks for granting me the last word, mighty kind of you.

Never been that type of person about popularity. Same with people obessing over Tesla or TikTok, or Taylor Swift or football.

This made us constantly have to convert file formats back and forth to save or use on school computers or send to the 95% of normal people that had MS Office, and I was less comfortable in using all the available program tools on MS Word and Excel and PowerPoint than my friends who had it at home and it limited me. I resented it. It didn't make me admire my dad's independent-mindedness, it made me think he was pointless and petty and couldn't pick his battles and was thoughtlessly making a stand on my back rather than his own. For the record, of course he's now the only one in our family with an Android, because that's him.
No kid wants to be the one with the weird incompatible tech rooted in parental rigid dogma.

Anonymous wrote:Why are some parents so insistent on making a point with these things? So you are anti-iPhone or antiphone until high school or whatever your point of moral superiority is. This is a hill you are going to die on when it is huge deal to teens to fit in and be included? Do your kid and their social life a favor and get them an iPhone.
