Same here, my MIL literally picks the lengthiest stay, cheapest Wednesday flights, and expects to have everything she does or eats paid by us, in order to “make it worth her while,” as she repeatedly has said.
Classy indeed.
And yes, they have millions in the bank, in rental properties and in the stock market.
