Agreed. She indeed looks beautiful now, but before she was striking and recognizable. I’m Indian with her coloring—I’m a bit darker — but my hair is black with a big contrast to my skin. Now that I’m graying, I dye it a soft or natural black. I’ve thought about going brunette, but it just doesn’t look like me. Looks like I’m cosplaying another ethnicity. We south Asian and middle eastern women have dramatic coloring and features. It’s kind of lame to see it all buffed out to look look like some Disney princess.

+1 everyone was super impressed that she was this big shot lawyer but changing her name just felt like she walking away from that.

Some of this is her changed age - for example, my hairdresser has encouraged me to dye my hair lighter as I’ve gotten older (dyed dark hair can be overly harsh looking).

I loved her original look because she was beautiful without being perfect looking. Now she does have the more generic look that many well preserved, wealthy aging women have.

She looks the same to me but I agree that she sold out when she changed her name. She was a mid-30s accomplished lawyer and gave up her career and identity to be Hollywood arm candy. A sad example for women.
