It’s actually not the kids who will lose the most. But as a parent, you can’t see that.
I'm confused. If it's not about the kids, who is this about? Are you saying the kids are coming out ahead but we should really be worried about . . . the teachers, the parents? I am confused as to how parents, and teachers, and administrators openly fighting about who sucks more is a good thing. If that is the thing I can't see, please educate me. To just say "You couldn't possibly understand because you are [INSERT WHOEVER YOU THINK SUCKS]" and then walk away in disdain underscores precisely my point. It is vague, and contemptuous, and proliferates the problem. And, that is what Dr. Floyd's email does. It calls for "grace" while throwing out vague contempt in all directions. Don't ask for grace if you can't summon it in yourself.

But most good teachers are not replaceable. Look at special Ed.

LOL you sound really stupid.
But PP is right. Floyd will be replaced and then quickly forgotten. There’s no need for some extended farewell tour.

I could not agree more!

Some spend a lot of time complaining.Time to stop thinking teaching is something different -- the rest of us face lots of stress too.
+1. This is not understood by the teachers who post on this board.
