I know a man who is beyond gorgeous, every woman I know who knows him goes weak in the knees when he picks his kids up at the school. He divorced years ago, 53 year old now, and is remarrying this winter. She is 44, no children, never been married however, smart as a whip and gorgeous. No botox, no lip filler, just naturally gorgeous. His ex, never met a spa or filler she did not like. While her treatments were tasteful it was still there and I think it is one of the reason they had so many problems as evidenced by his new fiancé.

I am 45 and I am divorced. A 35 years old woman is def a catch for me. But since I have kids and don't want more I am not going to be a catch for most of them. But I think for single men in their 30s such women are def a catch.

Are my evolutionary psychologist colleagues creating these threads? 🙄

Similarly why wouldn't a woman of any age be a catch? It's such a bizarre question and I am waisting my time answering. While I had what I consider a bad marriage I still think women bring a lot to a man's life. For this reason I think women will always have the upper band regardless of age when it comes to finding a partner. It's always been like this and nothing strange about it.

It's not about simply finding a partner. It's about finding a partner that meets OP's standards.

We don't know OP and have no way of knowing if her standards are reasonable or delusional, but every single person should have them.

I have a huge crush on a coworker who is 38 and has a child. If she were divorced I think she would be a catch. And I know i'm not the only one from our office who's a little bit (or a lot) in love with her! She's beautiful, stylish, great sense of humor, ivy-educated but not pretentious, super down to earth and fun. She is extremely good at her job but not aggressive or prickly like so many competent women I have encountered at work. She is very human and real. When I'm in her company I appreciate being alive. But yes, she is rare. Most unmarried women at this age have not been attractive to me.

Its old if you want to have children.

No, it is not. Plenty of women I know had first kids in their 40s. I am 46. My second was an accident of one time at 37. Age 36 is not age 46.

Sure, Jan.

Yes. To a divorced man over 45 if the woman is willing to look up to him and tell him how great he is.

Yes. To a man who makes a lot less money than she does and has less of a career and wants to cash in on her income stability and clout.
