What kind of college experience do they want? Columbia offers a more traditional campus life.

If you're talking about recruiting in '25, Stern is considerably better than Columbia.

My personal feeling is that neither school is a healthy place for 18 year olds today. But at least the Columbia students have to read something to get through the Core. A very low bar.

Crime in NYC is about to skyrocket.

Can you please expand on that? DC is considering one of the NYC schools and I'm very concerned about this.

This person is a hateful troll who is referring to Mamdani now being in office.

How did nyu pull this off? I am genuinely curious. Are they providing a more useful, relevant, or rigorous education? Do they provide better networking events? What have they done?

Agree that neither school is a healthy place for 18 year olds.

Based on what facts, my DC loves Stern.

Teaching was mixed. Strong for classics but weak in several other areas. Grad students teaching core curriculum classes. Kid did fine (more because of their own intellect/initiative than the school).but we expected more for both the $ and perceived reputation.

Anonymous wrote:Love these nyu boosters because they're proud of their school (or kid's school). That's a great thing. However, writing that nyu undergrad is stronger than columbia college will just never be true. CC is staggeringly more competitive. It might feel good to write random sh*t on an anonymous forum, but it doesn't make it real. Grad schools are another matter, obviously.

Agree, but OP was talking Stern, not NYU vs Columbia. Reading comprehension?
