She doesn’t deny her privilege in her article.
Anonymous wrote:She is a beautiful writer, and a beautiful person at least judging by online photos. Dont know her. Wish her well. Her husband was a dickhead. It will be hard for the kids to realize their dad was a hologram with no heart.

Haha me too-could eat this up with a knife and fork!
Yep. Basically a Hildebrand novel setup.
One of the Chrises (Evans or Pine) or Paul Rudd.

The pics are hard to make out, but I think they are all white. What the what??

Cringe.
So glad I didnt opt for an overwritten nyt wedding announcement. Barf.
“On Sept. 14 this year, they exchanged vows in front of 75 friends and family members in a setting that would have made Ralph Lauren weep with envy. The site, a collection of cottages with inviting porches along the wooded shore of Long Pond, lies only a few miles from the village of Plymouth, Mass., where Mr. Davis's ancestors settled in 1620. As guests sat out on a deck, a wooden 1950's motorboat cut a stylish swath across the lake and then docked. Out stepped the bride, barefoot and holding on to masses of curls coiled on top of her head.“
That's not an announcement. That's a writeup by the NY Times.

I still have sympathy. The person she trusted the most completely blinsided her.
+100 with teens and 25 years together. You can’t even imagine the confusion and pain and shock somebody goes through. It is awful.
I get that but how does this event that has happened since human beings began noticing one another warrant space in a major newspaper. That’s some privilege.

Yeah, I don't feel so sorry for her. She'll be fine, he was probably an ass anyway.
I lost 20 pounds on an already size 2-4 body in 3 weeks when something similar happened to me. You can’t eat or sleep and feel constantly nauseous…strung out. It’s not a pretty way to lose it and she’s not bragging.

What is it about being rich makes the story less compelling? She was upfront about the many ways she is/was fortunate. That doesn't change how awful it is for her and her kids to be blindsided. Assuming it is true.
