That was devastating, and perfect. That whole show is a masterpiece. And it's so unusual for there to be actual consequences, like there were there - real consequences, not escaping consequences by being murdered, but actually having to live with with what you've done. But yeah, seeing Paige on the platform - and Elizabeth's anguish at that moment. It rips my heart out all over again to think about it.

Another one that caught me by surprise was The Visit.

The end of Sixth Sense was great but The Prestige was shocking. I'm still pretty horrified by that one. Whoa, man, no! Don't do that!

Same with The Prestige. I think about it every now and then and it feels me with such a feeling of dread.

The Good Place's twists, by contrast, were a delight - each and every one. Except the ones that also filled me with a deep sense of sorrow.
