“hi, we are interested in buying this house, how much is it?”
“It’s $1-2m.”
Nobody was buying anything. In this context that would also be a reasonable range to give.

Its certainly "ok." But it doesn't make $5M a "nightmare" by any standard.
That nightmare line quoted from the show was a joke. No one is saying it's the worst thing to ever happen to them, except maybe Prince Harry. However, it does highlight how $5M is not quite enough to retire at 40 and support your family in the way that someone who has $5M would want to live.

Not enough to comfortably retire at 50 and maintain the same lifestyle/travel in retirement. But definately not enough to worry about finances, and if we keep working until 60 we will be set
