well, the MCCPTA president got her husband to start the petition. But yes, they are white. She also pushed back against having SROs in school, and as soon as they were taken out, a Magruder child got shot in the bathroom.

MCCPTA really needs some new folks to come in.
The MCCPTA is a useless, corrupt organization.
It offers nothing to most schools and the dues paid are absurd given they don't give that money back to the schools.

Renaming the school doesn't change what happened and this can easily happen again given the lack of security. Better to spend that money on security.
This. Spend it on more staff. Or on more counselors. Or on better security. Or cameras.
