Kate should have just gone with a headband or something like everyone else did, but no, she had something commissioned that went as close to being a tiara as you could get without actually being one.

I think they tried Kate's head piece with her dress and it looked great, not so much with regalia robes.

However, it was a good compromise between a tiara or no tiara. She managed to looked regal.

While I appreciate that she chose an American designer, that outfit does not fit. The jacket, the gloves…not at all fitted to her body.
