also saw Abbott reference the murder of some "illegal immigrants," to which I guess we could say thanks for the heads-up, "cripple"
but apart from that, I wonder if the "normal people" referenced earlier feel like the Democrats are the ones telling people they can think what they like, do what they like (as long as not harming others and yes, I know abortion is a glaring exception), speak their mind, and protect their families? because these are all things that the "normal people" I've been around consider important freedoms - not the "freedom" to make $15 an hour mopping floors
it's hard to filter out all the stupidity on the Internet but my impression, at a very high level, is that one party spends a lot more effort than the other these days on enforcing social conformity, and it's not the Republicans - and I'm not a Republican, and never voted for one in my life - Scout's Honor! I am one of the many millions who held my nose and voted for a guy who could barely put a sentence together for the sole reason that he wasn't trying to light forest fires every single day, even if he occasionally lights some by accident
and I would hate to see the Dems F it up next summer
are you kidding? The republicans are forcing a fundamentalist Christian society on a country that is not supposed to be of any specific religion. Talk about imposing conformity.
You keep saying this. Explain how you see this playing out.
Because, I can tell you...... "fundamentalist Christians" are not occupying seats in government, leadership at universities, positions in Big Tech, roles in mainstream media, or any other position with power.
And, while we are at it. Define "fundamentalist Christians." I think this is a term you are using as a slur when I don't think you know what the hell you are talking about.
Because, I can tell you...... "fundamentalist Christians" are not occupying seats in government
Are you sure about that?
Name them.
Comey
Alito
Kavanaugh
Roberts
Thomas
Pence
Most of the GOP in the House
Most of the GOP in the Senate
DiSantis
Abbott
the list goes on and on...
As I thought. You have no clue of the meaning of "fundamentalist Christians." Look it up. You are presenting yourself as ignorant.
Oh, and for the record..... a person who believes that abortion kills a living being isn't always Christian either. And, if they are Christian, they are not necessarily "fundamentalist" Christian.

More like the birthrate of the poor will increase and there will be less children and marriage. Will hold out to see, but this is my guess.

Except that's not at all what is actually happening.

the only issue that supports that viewpoint is abortion and that's now at the state level, not the federal
tell me, do you think more meetings these days include land acknowledgements and pronoun discussions, or the Lord's Prayer?
So, the Supreme Court isn't the federal level?
and at the federal level - in a classic totalitarian move /s - the issue has simply been handed back down to the states
