Walls is the only school that used a gatekeeping test. It has only been a couple of years and with a year and a half of COVID "remote learning" and documented learning losses, I'm guessing the data would be pretty dirty right now. Current students' parents have an understandable bias against admitting their kids are at a lessor school so their anecdotal observations aren't worth a whole lot. DCPS is the only entity in possession of relevant data and the ability to parse it, but there is no way in hell DCPS is going to publish data that says, "Hey, remember when we got rid of tests? Turns out we hurt the school."

SWW is not a lessor school. They have continued to do what they do which is the problem. The pandemic really caused a lot of of havoc. The majority of teachers are simply not experienced enough to meet the kids where they are and help them recover. This is a problem in education everywhere. Universities are experiencing the same thing. So it's just the cohort that will be known as the "Covid Kids."
