She supports book banning. That is not moderate. It’s part of the right wing extremist playbook currently running in other states and in Spotsylvania County, VA.

I’m not in the fcdc. I’m just a parent who is very against the new trend of individual parents making decisions for my kid’s education rather than trusting our trained educators and parenting their own kids.
That’s a straw-man argument if I ever heard one. Although it wouldn’t be bad to have more parents on the board as opposed to aspiring politicians like Frisch, who has neither a college degree nor kids in FCPS.

I had a call from someone wanting me to vote for McDaniel today. She was the most uninterested caller... clearly not a volunteer. She was reading a script and then hung up on me. It was bizarre. I'm used to nervous callers, but this girl sounded like she couldn't care less. It was... odd.

But it isn't fair to say that other candidates don't talk about it, when most of them actually talk about it more than McElveen.

No it isn't. The only one guaranteed to win is Moon. McDaniel will surely win too just from the way he's worked this campaign. But there will be a real race to third place between Webb, Munir and McElveen.
Eileen Filler-corn endorsed Moon, Webb, and McElveen. But others have endorsed Moon, Webb, and Munir.

DP, but I'd love to see some diversity OF OPINION on the next School Board. We don't have that with the current board and they have been running FCPS into the ground with their incompetence. Some of them should be in jail.

+1 COVID and aftermath have shown the current board to be ineffective at actually educating students in reading, writing, arithmetic,...
I'd love all of you $%^% whiners to have done better. You wouldn't have.
1. Would have listened to health department-not the teachers' union. Could have opened schools much, much earlier. Example: teacher "yearning to get back in the classroom--when it is safe" while posting from the beach. Also, one of ouor "At Large" members.
2. Should have paid attention --much earlier--to the mess that was the Tech department. Remember the first iteration of "virtual learning?" Other school systems were better prepared, but our Tech person had no idea of anything.
3. SB members being sure their own kids had school in a "pod" --example Hunter Mill SB member.
4. SB members crying because partner teacher might get sick. Example Providence SB member
5. Spending much time on "equity" while closing schools was anything but equitable.
+100 to all of this. The SB during the pandemic was a farce. Every thing they did was a mess and so hypocritical to what they claim to stand for. Let's not forget the 4 day of schools instead of 5. Like WHAT!?!?!?!??!

PP is just talking about the Democratic endorsement, I think. Stop whining and get to work if you think other at-large candidates are better. Unless, of course, you're one of the trolls who wants to see FCPS continue to decline so you can feel better about pulling your kid out and sending him to O'Connell.
