Elon is on the rise with rich kids who aren’t that bright. Richmond is a very solid school and getting better.
Any sources here?

Look at the CDS of each school.
How exactly does that show UR is superior?
I feel like i engaged with you earlier and it was very frustrating. You dismissed meaningful data points like test scores and acceptance rates. Everyone who is tapped into college admissions knows it is very hard to get into UR and only really bright accomplished kids end up there, whereas almost any half decent student can get into Elon. And the ones who go to Elon are the ones with no better options. So believe what you want to believe, I really don’t care
NP here. I get that the other PP is being rude, but so are you. I have a kid going to Elon who has “better” options. She turned down 3 colleges with higher USNWR rankings and some that are lower ranked but people here would like better. It’s where she wants to go and it spoke to her. Everyone she has spoke to that went there loved it.
i am under no illusion that it is a "better" school than UR. In fact, i tried to get her to apply to UR as well, but she thought it was too small.
Please keep in mind in your comments that these schools are some kids' choices and there are kids on here (not mine). we can compare facts and experiences without trashing schools. i would guess most people on here trashing Elon have never set foot on campus and have no idea what the
school offers.
And so what if a kid has "no better option"? If they like the school, one is all they need.
Grow up, all of you!

This is a not uncommon perception.
Which school attracts more employers/recruiters to its campus ?

Anonymous wrote:My son started at Elon and transferred to Davidson where he is now getting ready to graduate. When he first arrived at Davidson, he was shocked by the difference in academic rigor and quality of professors at Davidson after having a 4.0 at Elon. He says he had to work twice as hard just for a B+ at Davidson but he enjoyed the classes and level of discussions a lot more. He went from being one of the smartest students in his economics classes to a very average one at Davidson. As a parent, I don't think there is any doubt that Elon is a nice school with a pretty campus and happy students but its academic rigor is lacking compared to more selective schools. Again, this is just our family's experience. Others may disagree.
