It depends on how long the flight is.

if its over 10 hours we fly busienss. If not economy is fine.

It depends on the hours of the flight. We typically like to fly the in-between (Economy Plus on United) as DH and I are tall (5'11" and 6'2"). If we can't avoid a red-eye then we splurge for first class. If we can, then economy plus works well for us. Family of 3, DC sits in the middle.

Please stop. Children are part of society. I hate American attitudes about segregating kids off in separate spaces. (That being said, parents on planes need to be extra vigilant about their supervision and enforce good manners -- which I do)
