She did say in the OP that she said “that’s how she tracks her blood sugar” so she kind of said that, without explicitly mentioning diabetes, but the woman didn’t seem to care or respond.
I think people like this are so unimaginative and set in their ways and mindset that they literally can’t even imagine a 7 year old needing to monitor their diabetes. Like it’s so far outside the realm of what’s possible in their small minds that OP might as well have said that her daughter was, I don’t know, training to be the first tween astronaut or something. Unfortunately these people are everywhere in our society!
