Working from home was a burgeoning trend that COVID just sped up. It was happening sooner or later.

What this thread is about are policies introduced specifically because of COVID that have no reason to still exist. Such as banning unvaccinated people from coming to the US because we know the vaccines don't stop transmission or prevent you from getting COVID and natural immunity does exist, and the rest of the western world has long removed such restrictions because they simply have have no logic any more.

Yup. This bothers me so much. Feels so rude to stare at my phone. I want to talk to the people I’m with and not have everyone’s phones out. I now ask for paper menus when I walk in.

Yes. And what if your phone is out of batteries? You just don't get to read the menu? A cell phone shouldn't be a requirement for any service if you are there in person.

Yes. The ones at our local mall are still covered in plexiglass. We can view the fountain, just not drink from it.

100%. We are literally the only country in the world that makes travelers remove their shoes. Even worse is that there has been literally zero Congressional effort to reform TSA's ridiculous insistence on removing shoes.

Equally as crazy is that you can be in the next line over from another security line at the same airport and they might not have to remove their shoes while you'll have to. Insanity!

+1 yes, this is the only one in this whole list that also bothers me.

I don't love looking at menus on my phone but I also don't love the waste of using paper/plastic menus either so I like that restaurants are not wasting as much this way.

The only things I need from housekeeping services are: more coffee for the coffee maker, more toilet paper and fresh towels if we're staying longer than a couple days, and to take the trash/recycling out. It's easy enough to just ask at the front desk for the first few items and I actually don't even mind taking my own trash/recycling out if I know where it goes. Otherwise, I just leave it in the hall and the housekeeping staff does take it.
