Swarthmore (in season), felt like I was in a movie
Parts of Yale were beautiful
The quad at Chicago was surprisingly lovely too
The mountains behind Amherst and Williams were also gorgeous.
Have not been to S and West coast colleges

The quad is really beautiful and the buildings are a nice uniform brick. It’s an unexpected green oasis in a schlumpy suburban area.
It is easy for a campus to be beautiful when the have ivy endowments and nice locations by the beach and mountains. But UMd does unexpected beauty so well.

Agreed. It is a nice looking university. Definitely not ugly.
It is nice looking in parts but the density and constant construction are a negative. The biggest drag-College Park itself is a dump

West: UCSC — agree with the PP that it is breathtaking and prettier than UCSB (although both campuses seem determined to destroy the natural beauty through horrific building decisions, so we will see how long that lasts).
Northwest: Hasn’t been mentioned as a region, but Lewis & Clark is spectacularly beautiful
East: Cornell
Midwest: Notre Dame
