From listening to everyone, some kids would die for admission into Prep and it is a very well regarded school. Has anyone else's DS declined their offer to Georgetown Prep? What school did they end up accepting and why? Do they regret making that decision?
Very odd question. You should not base an acceptance on wondering if anyone declined as a decision on accepting. Do what is best for your son. Prep is
for Catholics as STA for Episcopalians. If you are not a catholic then maybe another school fits better.
Is this poster for real? This is the DMV, not some closed minded backwater.

There’s a Catholic zealot patrolling these posts for anything they deem anti-Catholic. I think if you turn the Prep down they’ll report you to the Mother Superior as a bigot and anti-Catholic. Not kidding just go to the website feedback section.

The whole world sat up and listened to the most famous alum for most of this morning.
The whole world watched 9/11 unfold and the first news early on in the pandemic. The whole world did not sit up and watch the “most famous alum” to come out of prep this morning. Get yourself a life.

Anyone? Serious question. Silence is telling
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This is the OP - You all are truly ridiculous!! I post a legitimate topic that I really wanted others perspectives. As usual, the "certain" ignorant DCUM's come out of the anonymous closet and take the post totally off topic for their sick pleasure. GROW UP! This is why most people refrain from posting on this forum because of the infantile behavior that some of you exhibit. For once, lets stay on topic please.
Make a decision with your child. You don’t need others to tell you what to do. We don’t know your child. Yes, some decline the school.
Yes, you are correct. No one on this forum will tell me what I need to do. I will make the decision with my DS. However, I feel that it would be immature of me to think that I and my DS knows it all and has thought of, discussed or researched everything. Other's perspectives may shed light on something that we did not think of or considered. Peoples perspectives will not ultimately determine my decision. However, this due diligence of seeking others viewpoints may provide the one missing ingredient that solidifies what we decide.

Anonymous wrote:DS declined Prep for GC. People thought we were crazy at the time. In hindsight it was the right decision for him. The PLTW and IB programs are a perfect fit as well as some significant ECs that provided better opportunities at GC. It depends on the individual student.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:My DS is thinking about accepting an offer for Landon instead of Prep.
Landon has veered pretty far left politically. If that aligns with your family's values, then go to Landon, and if not, go to Prep.
