Joe’s communications with Dylan showed they were looking for a 3rd to do BDSM play that and Victor wasn’t expected to come home until his plans changed. Victor’s not into BDSM. The presence of Robert’s semen is crucial. This makes me think that he was probably operating on a “down low” with his wife. This happens everyday in real life,
The manner of death was probably due to erotic asphyxiation. The stabbing was staged. They did the stabbing after asphyxiation gone wrong, cleaned him up, put his dress on (remember no fiber of his shirt was found on the knife) put his mouth guard in, put him in bed, and then Victor freaked out, got everyone riled up causing him to call 911.

That law partner is a sociopath. Where is that cvn t now?
There used the be a blog that tracked the three housemates. If I remember correctly one of the attorney housemates moved to another part of the country and found another job practicing law. Then someone ‘outed’ him to his employer regarding his involvement in this case and he was no longer with them.
I think the other two also moved away from this area.
It was many years since I read that blog and I’m not sure if it still online.
Here is one blog. There is an interesting theory in comments
https://whomurderedrobertwone.wordpress.com/the-defendants/dylan-ward/
If by "interesting theory," you mean "completely unsupported speculation," than sure. Moreover, the other two points in that comment demonstrate unequivocally that the poster has no idea what he or she is talking about.
1) lack of interest by the media & police
The poster obviously wasn't here at the time. This was a HUGE news story, and the police devotes significant resources to it.
2) connections of the 3 suspects (1 being a laywer, all 3 being wealthy)
The idea that a junior partner at Arent Fox has the connections to duck a high profile murder charge is really laughable.

One thing I don't get is why they're making a huge deal out of how far it is from DC to Oakton and how late it was, and that he couldn't get a cab. It's maybe a half hour and was only 9:30. I think he went there not because he needed a place to stay but because Price lured him with a sob story of how he needed to talk.
Sorry, how he couldn't take metro. Why not get a cab?! That part is weird. He had no reason to stay in DC. I think Price gave him some weird sob story.

Good point. Couldn't his wife pick him up at the Dunn Lorin or the Vienna metro stops? It would have been at most a 10-minute trip for his wife. Does make sense he was lured.

What about the kids? Were they raised in this house?

I remember being so confused when my friend called me weeping to tell me Robert had been killed. It just didn’t make sense. I watched episode 1 last night and had the same sense of disbelief I’ve always had about how in the world did this happen to Robert.
