OP, as you seem he’ll bent your kid not being available, get creative. Your kid can babysit, tutor, do landscaping/ yard care in mornings or after hours, run errands, etc.

Employers don’t need the inconvenience of training someone who is never available, or won’t be.

Are they in band, sports, or other similarly time-consuming activities, as per the OP's question?


If her kid can’t commit to work for the summer, then she should pay him to work around the house or similar.
