Team OP all the way! My office implemented a hybrid schedule last summer but I stood my ground and continued to WFH. I then made a pitch to WFH full time and it was accepted. Best thing I've done in a long time!

It's easy to tell who the ageists are, too.

I have a colleague who comes into the office once a month so that people such as myself can give her paper documentation. The rest of the time I don't need to see her face to face.

This. I go in every day as does my team. Nature if the work. I would love it if everyone who could work from home, did (they do at my company). Stay off the roads. But also have a pay differential for people who have to come in (we try to do that for our staff).

+1 Team OP.
Don't the rest of you want us off the roads?

It makes so much more sense to travel and coordinate for in-person just a few times a year. The rest of the times, someone's always virtual anyway. So virtual works.

I'm right there with OP.

My dh *has* to go into his office to complete his work about once a week, because his type of function really requires that right now. He is completely unhappy that all the people who could work 100% remote are being forced to come in.

I’m torn. I 100% don’t want OP causing unnecessary traffic, but it’s also just gross to complain like this when working from home is such a privilege.

+100. Not to mention…you’ve had it this good this long. Pony ride’s over.

You... need help.

You're not better than anyone else. If you have been working in office the whole time, that means you had to which means you have a very different job.

Some of us can't stand losers like you who rub in that you're in person all the time because you're not able to get a WFH job.

All those teachers want to WFH too. Let’s go back to virtual school! Your kid will get more sleep and be more productive just like you WFH.

Hey, People, OP is just venting and this is his or her first day back in the office!

Have some sympathy. We've all been there after a vacation or similar.

We don't have any sympathy for that cupcake. It is February 2023 and we have been working in person the whole time. She needs to shut up.

Thank god we can go back to office and meeting culture where useless management can piss away huge amounts of company dollars on personal cars and lavish 'business' dinners.

I hope you are not doing any work after hours or on weekends, OP.
