I know they have a new cafeteria space opening up next year. Wondering if any current SSSAS upper school parents can chime in on that? I know it seems ridiculous to even consider whether lunch is included, but every little bit matters sometimes! It's a big deal to us.

For example, Potomac is inconsistent about lunch. It is optional and extra cost in LS, for example, while not optional for some other grades.
Vent: I really wish Potomac would change and be consistent. I wish they would just have a hot family-style lunch for all grades, as some other private schools do, and include it in the standard school fee structure at all grades.

Field is newly charging $2600 round trip for bus fees next year -clever way to increase tuition by 7.9% to $56,935 (without lunch) for most families.
To be fair and accurate, some families do fall into that category. And some families will use the bus only one way for $1500. Some families do not use the bus at all. And families on FA will realize FA in their bus fees. I appreciate the fairness of only being charged for what I use. Plus, I don’t think other schools offer free bus service. If I’m wrong about that I’m sure someone will let me know. Speaking of clever, Field is raising tuition for the middle school 0.0% next year.

We’re reporting only 2023-2024 right now.
And of course, it’s expected that Parochial schools are a lot more affordable than Independent ones
Assuming a 5% increase, the future tuition would be $24,045

It’s not a parochial school and yes, esp for purposes of financials, there is a difference. But you be you.
Well a school name was not mentioned but you be you.
