I'm exactly 45. What a coincidence.

I don't feel old but I also know I'm not young either. Whenever I go to the Y for swimming laps, the place is always filled with the fit studs from the local high school and I know in their eyes that no matter how trim and in shape I am, I'm still old and decrepit!

To me "old" is 70s. I know people in their 60s who are fit and active and vigorous so that's late middle age to me, and I'd be entering the middle ages at 45.

I just turned 56 and yes - I do think 45 is old.

Not as old as me 👴🏿 but still pretty damn old.

I'm 48 and don't feel old at all. I recently fell in love like a teenager.

45 is is still “young”

When I hit 50 I felt old overnight and I was bit sad that I am now old.

I think 70 + is old.

56 year “old” now.

45 is solidly middle-aged. I feel young at times and old at times. When I buy things, I feel old when I see how much inflation has gone up from my childhood. Also, I feel old when I'm at the gym and flirt with the women that are mostly in their 20's and 30's there. I wish we had more single women in their 40's and 50's at my gym, but Arlington skews very young.

Better start taking better care of it, cause if you get to live a long life, you will look back on 45 and think you were still a spry kid then.

Curious if this is generally considered such

When you are 15 or younger yeah it seems "old".

When 15-30, seems "older than me but dependent on the person". Some women still have it at that age if they are healthy. Many men still are hot at 45 and not old at all.

When 50 or older, naw 45 is "young stuff".

Middle aged.

I think as you progress through the decades the quality of people (health, mental wellness, attractiveness) varies more broadly with each progressive decade.

It's middle-aged but not old. I find it to be the sweet spot.

I’m a woman, 48. I think it’s a respectable age- not old but not young. I lean into my age at work when I want to show experience and judgement. I had great taste in music and fashion that were young, and are still in. Started playing tennis this year, and playing the best I have ever played. Look fit, but can’t to lose 10 lbs since I have blood sugar issues. Haven’t decided what to do with my gray hair— I color it but don’t stay on top of it. It doesn’t look cute. Kids are teen and tween. Glad we had them when I was 32 and 35.
