I don't know what hospitals you've been to, but security guards are there and that's who nurses call.

The schools had and continue to have security guards. Security guards are different from SROs.

Schools also have cops, they are not SROs and they respond to issues that require cops.

Nurses, therapists and counselors also don’t have cops talking to patients. They are outside and readily available, like cops should be.

I have volunteered in ED classes but they don’t train volunteers in restraints. We also didn’t call the cops fir outbursts, we called a counselor who deescalated the outburst.

+1 Teachers shouldn't be the ones having to break up fights. It takes several minutes for the cops to arrive to a school. Those several minutes can be the difference between minor and major injuries during a fight.

I posted this before: I had a math teacher in HS who was all of 4'11", probably 90lbs. She was an awesome teacher. Is the ^^PP suggesting that this tiny teacher break up fights between two large males? My goodness. Has PP tried to break up fights between two adult sized male students let alone multiple students?
