I know this is terrible, but I kind of miss Mayor Barry. He was straight up. You knew what's what. You could work with Mayor Barry.

Bowser is bullshit. She's not doing this city any favors.

Barry's campaign slogan was "He's not perfect, but he's perfect for DC."

Truest thing he ever said.

Everyone assumes that Bowser will go on to a cushy federal appointment or whatnot. Let's consider another scenario. City Paper reported that the FBI and DOJ are investigating former deputy mayor John Falciccio and his deputies concerning DC's transactions with developers, among other things. Falciccio was the mayor's point man for development, real estate deals, planning & zoning, etc. If this investigation broadens, it's not inconceivable that Bowser could be drawn in as well.

Maybe Josh Harris can give her a cushy gig after she sells DC's finances down the drain for the next decade.

Surely she won't be around that long? The 911 fiasco has caused some damage. Though her sex pest fixer would too, but the Council did not really pursue that.

But the FBI and DOJ, according to press reports, are looking into conduct of Falcicchio and his top aides on DC's dealings with developers. That could boomerang on Bowser, big time.

Doing what? Working where?

There’s always a cush no show job waiting. Hundreds of examples before her.

She basically inherited what was left of the Barry political machine. She is a “made woman” now; never needs another real job to get paid in DC.

Why some PPs don’t run to replace her? It seems anybody can do a better job than Bowser.

I wish I could buy stock in the likelihood of Muriel and the city getting completely rolled in the Commanders negotiation.

Sign me up.
And isn’t everything supposed to be attached to her downtown propaganda? How does this even connect?

Probably that sports and concerts at the stadium would bring in tourist $ and development will benefit the neighborhood. Not rocket science why cities want stadiums.

NFL stadiums are always a financial albatross and the money spent on them could be better used elsewhere. You can make a (flimsy) case for Nats Stadium that gets used 95+ days a year, but not an NFL Stadium.

It's not rocket science why cities want them (most local politicians are very dumb when it comes to finances).

Precisely. Unfortunately we don’t have the A team playing right now, so they have the arrogance to try to gaslight us into thinking that dumb ideas that aren’t in our best interest are actually in our best interest. At least they seem somehow convinced.

Her biggest campaign point, "Alice Deal for All" has been a catastrophic failure. Now she's let crime in the city reach insane levels with zero answers.

Whatever cushy job she goes to next, short their stock.
