Is WF top 30? Really? I haven’t looked at USNWR in a long time!

That's because they are experiencing the 'good old days', when you are young, mostly healthy, don't have a care in the world, all expenses are taken care of, and don't know what you don't know! Location doesn't matter.

I think the vast majority of kids are happy wherever they are, regarless of whether it's a T20 or T1000!

DS very happy at UChicago. He wasn't so happy socially speaking in his big DMV public high school. He has made a lot of good friends in his year plus there.

same with dear friends DS, high school wasn't so great for him and he slogged through but he seems delighted so far with his time at WashU, academics, social life and ECs all coming together in a really great way

Friends DD very happy at Dartmouth, she’s quite social and in a sorority which I suspect a key factor in Dartmouth being a good fit

If you’re not happy at Vanderbilt or Georgetown that’s what my grammy would call a “you problem”

Georgetown has rats.

Harvard has rats. So?

UF ans Wake are elite but Northeastern is not?

Umm, yes, absolutely

Totally Nope.

- Students Quality
https://www.businessinsider.com/the-50-smartest-colleges-in-america-2016-10
Northeastern: T25 based on test scores before the pandemic when everyone submits scores
Wake: Out of range
UF: Out of range

- Retention Rate
https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/rankings/national-universities/freshmen-least-most-likely-return
Northeastern: #3 with 98%
Wake: 95%
UF: 97%

- Outcome (10 year out by Department of Education)
https://collegescorecard.ed.gov/
Northeastern: $80K
Wake: $75K
UF: $64K

- Acceptance rate:
Northeastern: very low as you all know
Wake: 25%
UF: 30%

Northeastern wins in every major category.

This is good to know, thank you!
