Visi has this win as 11-7 on its website.

Anyone know the score of the Visi / BI game today?

PVI website has a 11-8 score. Interesting to see how Visi did after close game with PVI and losing to STAB.

Anyone know the actual final score of the Visi / PVI game? Strange each side has a different tally.

Don't worry about Visi, they will do great!

Lacrosse parents are the worst...doesn't matter what school. Regretting getting my kid into this sport.

I think this is becoming more and more the norm. It's really a toxic environment and will be the prohibitor to national growth. Every parent thinks their kid is the # 1 recruit.

The women’s college (and often highschool and club) lacrosse coaches are unusually toxic as well. So many awful stories floating around and in the press.

Amonte-Hiller has a very negative reputation and it’s extremely well known. She also values a very specific set of traits, which may not be as common in our girls. High school and club coaches warn girls about her. Some players remove the school from their list because of it. Plus for DMV girls it’s an oddly positioned school - very strong academics and athletics but a less than ideal location (mid-went). You get the same advantages at several other schools and don’t have to deal with a potentially abusive coach or less than ideal location.

Of course, they're as good as we think they are. They're our girls! But the game has rapidly grown outside of the hotbeds. If a top 20 D1 coach can choose between a 8/10 DMV athlete with great stick skills that have topped out, and a 10/10 athlete with reasonable stick stills that are still improving, they're going to take the 10/10 kid. There are lots of 10/10 girls across the country that DMV and LI island girls weren't competing with 5-6 years ago.

St. John’s has a player committed to NW.

As does GC.

I’m not sure “replaced” is the right word—Long Island has long been one of the top areas for lax. However, Philly, Westchester Co & Connecticut are quickly becoming as good as if not better than Long Island.
