Shampoo & condition my hair every 2-3 days depending on how it looks.
Op, your DH is showering right. You people who just rinse are probably the stinky ones in public that don’t realize how bad they smell.

NP. I don't, because we don't wear shoes in the house, and I literally never leave. Also I'm losing a ton of hair and have to use Drano once a week, so there's usually water pooling in the shower that cleans them well enough.

Doesn’t everyone?

I love when people who don’t wash their hair every day try to tell people they stink. Unlike your leg, your scalp actually produces lots of oil and sweat and hair holds onto scent. If there’s anything you should wash every day besides your butt and armpits it’s your hair. I don’t really care that you smell a bit like old sebum, but you don’t have room to tell anyone else they smell.

I can assure you that the length of my limbs, which don’t sweat and are not exposed to anything dirty, smell just fine and there is no need to scrub them.
You can wash without scrubbing.
And yes, if you don't wash, you do smell.
Sniffing my forearmarm right now, which probably hasn’t gotten soaped up in…3 or 4 months?. Smells like nothing. I think I’m good, thanks though!
Same. All scrubbing would do is waste water and soap, plus dry out my skin.
Why is it so hard to understand that you can wash parts of your body without scrubbing them?
I'm sitting here in disbelief that DCUMers seem think showering means either some major exfoliation or...just standing there. Didn't any of your parents teach you how to wash yourselves?
This 100%. And a reminder, just because you are used to or can’t smell your funkiness anymore doesn’t mean everyone else can’t.

Anonymous wrote:Why is DCUM so obsessed with showering? It’s baffling. There is at least one post every month about showering. How difficult is it?
I’ve never given it a second thought nor care what anyone else does but clearly lots of DCUM does.

No, there's no need whatsoever to use antibacterial soaps. They're no more effective than regular soap in actually getting you clean, and are one of the things leading to the rise of resistant bacteria.
Soap, when used properly, is more than adequate to get people clean. I can't understand this weird obsession some people have with washcloths.
Wrong.
The antibacterial soaps are specially designed to kill almost all types of bacteria which is what you need to keep from getting sick all the time.
