Even if he has it’s still not a gotcha. Ted Cruz has been running for President for 12 years, has national notoriety with Republican voters and he’s running neck and neck with Youngkin in polling. That’s whats notable about this poll. The reality is that as a one-term governor from VA he lacks the national media platform necessary to build a strong base of support with Republicans. However, as. VP candidate he could be very useful to assuage the business community if the Republicans select one of these whackjobs that are leading the polls. Don’t underestimate the power of his experience and connections from Carlisle.
