This is a good list.
Bucknell yield is very low and they are ok with it.
And given how low the Asian population is, they are thrilled when Asian kids apply and don’t discriminate
I would target the PA privates - bucjnell, Lehigh, Gettysburg, Dickinson, F&M, Lafayette
Unlike nescac’s they don’t collude and aren’t nearly as worried about yield protection

Instead a bunch of matches.
We figured what's the chance of getting rejected by all the match schools?
Pretty small if they system is not too bad.
Worked out well.

Seriously, anyone in the past 5 years will tell you, these are not guaranteed even for high stats, in-state kids.
Unless you’re talking about maybe the 1990s or before.
There’s a difference between “pretty confident my kid will get in” and safety.

good to hear. Trying to convince my high stats DC who wants to major in CS that they will be fine at UMD.
DC is at a magnet: 1580 SAT, all 5s on APs except the foreign language one (bombed that one), unw GPA 4.0.
UMD is a safety to DC. I told DC UMD isn't really a safety for their stats, but that's what they think. And I think because it's a safety, and also the location is in our "backyard", DC doesn't want to go there. But I told them they'd be dumb to pass it up, especially if they get Banneker Key.
But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe with those stats UMD is a safety for CS? IDK.
DP - UMD is a safety for your kid no matter the major. While your kid's stats are excellent, I'm not sure about BK. All kids considered for BK have almost perfect stats. What is his wt GPA and how many APs has he taken? Our kids won BK twice - one partial, the other full. I can't tell you how nice it has been.
Weighted GPA is 4.77. What are his chances for BK? Even partial?

What are your target/reach schools for private?
Is wake’s yield low enough to be a safety?
