Our Realtor got us a great deal, so I don't care about the "gift."

This one gifted us with a Yeti, a branded one mind you. I would rather nothing at all than some piece of office merch..
wow entitled much.
I have bought and sold many houses costing way more than $2 mil LOL it is a business transaction. Who needs a gift? That is absurd.
+1
I’ve never received or expected a gift. Wouldn’t mind a Yeti though.

OP here - this is exactly my point. I wasn't expecting anything and would have preferred nothing rather than a tumbler with the realtors name on it.

If I sold my 2 million dollar house with a Realtor and all I got was a branded $300 cooler, I can promise you I would tell every person I know to never use them.
Wasn’t that the agreed upon price for their services?
Realtors give “gifts” because some clients are whiny babies who will give them a bad referral because they didn’t get their egos stroked with monogrammed tea towels.
- not a realtor
No they give gifts because they realize their jobs are all but obsolete and that getting a 3% cut of a 2 million dollar sale for the amount of work they typically put in is absurd.
