I’m the PP. Glad your boys love it. I hope you raised them better than most of the boys that my girls came in contact with. One of the things they liked the least about the school was the guys. They thought they were generally too fratty and immature.

Oh I have a DD and DS there and my DD says the same thing about the boys for sure. That said, my DS still has his girlfriend from high school and all his roommates have long term girlfriends. I keep telling her she's just looking in the wrong place but that is her big complaint for sure. She's a second year and and she told me this week she gives up. "All men are dogs"

Granted, she got in off the waitlist, but still, I’m sure she wouldn’t have a prayer today.

Oh, and for what it’s worth, she ended up doing just fine academically, has lots of good memories, made some good friends that she still keeps in touch with and is happy enough that she went there, but all in all she wasn’t blown away by the experience. Her older sister feels exactly the same way.

He has a fighting chance. My DS got in last year with a 1480. But all his friends have different SAT scores or GPA. UVA definitely is looking for a certain type of student that isn’t just numbers. Good luck!
